Women Sex is not romance!

The definition of romance seems to hold a different meaning for women than it does for men.

For some women it is a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love and involves things like a simple kiss goodbye or a dinner for two under the stars.

Romance is what some women believe to be the journey that leads to finally giving of oneself in the bedroom.

On the other hand, a number of men believe that being a good lover in bed is what romance is all about and never see the need to hold his partner's hand or kiss her gently on the lips unless, of course, he wants sex. For some this is the only time their partners feel any sense of affection.

All Woman asked some females if they believe sex and romance are the same thing and how they actually want their lovers to romance them.

1. Stacy G, 31

Sex is not romance, but romance may include sex -- a lovely night out with dinner under the stars/candlelight, music, dancing, light conversation to culminate in lovemaking. Romance for me also could be spending the day together relaxing, and then spending the night taking a long walk on the beach, night swimming and making love.

2. Ann G, 31

Cuddling up on the sofa watching movies and eating popcorn or chips and enjoying the warmth of each other's company, that's romantic. After a long day at work, I come home to a foot rub, massage, or dinner with wine and pleasantries.

3. Heidi H, 38

Sex can be romance, but it depends on who it is with. So it could be a part of the package. Romance comes naturally when you are in love with each other. You have the urge to please your partner and want to do nice things for him/her.

4. Keisha S, 34

Sex is not necessarily romance. Sex is an action done with someone or with yourself. You don't have to have a relationship or have a connection with someone to engage in the act. Romance, on the other hand, can be filled with excitement and fascination. I personally would need romance with sex. So, for me, I would have to feel that connection that makes me feel special in someone's eyes. I would have to get the tinkling feeling, want to try something new with the person, have fantasy mixed with foreplay and teasing chats during the day.

5. Jodi Ann B, 24

Not all sex is romantic. Some men just want to jump on and go on like they on football field and jump off back. A man must undress his woman, kiss her up, and do little foreplay before the actual penetration. Take it nice and slow before they start getting wild.

6. Julie G, 33

I want to be wined and dined. We don't necessarily have to go out as I prefer the simple things. A nice quiet evening with dinner, some soft music, champagne, the works, maybe a little dancing. Some good quality time and maybe later we lead to more intensive stuff! I believe all couples should have some good quality well romanced time on a regular basis.

7. Nadia W, 29

Sex is just one aspect of romancing a woman. But it's part of the whole package. I get more turned on by seeing my man in the kitchen cooking and washing up the dishes than I do when he starts to initiate sex — although it's usually good. It tells me that he cares about my well-being, and which girl doesn't want to be assured of this?

8. Keisha T, 30

Romancing can take many different forms. Sex is often the finish line on a romantic adventure. On the other hand, the act of sex can be totally void of romance.

I agree. Sex is not romance. Romance tends to be the actions that lead up to sex.....lol
